Washi tape bunting invitation

Spotted these adorable invites on Mer Mag
I love the black and yellow color combo and the fact that they are very easy to make.
I think I may borrow the idea for my daughters balloon party coming up in a few weeks.

Hello Yellow

I couldn't help myself not to post about this yellow party. My favorite feature: a tent of ruffled crepe paper streamers cascading over a candy buffet.

Prep for a party: stripes and dots

My son turns 1 (a big deal for us Hawaiians) in June so, naturally, I started planning out his party when he was born. ha!

We are keeping it simple though... really.

The theme is basic 'stripes and dots' with colors baby blue, sunshine yellow and lime green.

Some ideas floating in my head...

POP themed baby shower

We threw one of my friends a "POP" themed baby shower
- as in, she's about to POP!
We tried to incorporate everything with "pop", right down to the games.

This is what we came up with:

{For invitations click here}

table centerpieces with balloons

[The main food had nothing to do with "POP", but we had to have some good food in there- Chinese chicken salad, meatballs, taco soup, rice, and beans]

GAMES: we played
-pop the balloon pictionary
-baby playdough
[form a baby behind your back in 2 minutes-mom to be chooses the best looking one]
-Nursery Rhyme Jeopardy
-Popcorn Kernel game [guess how many in a jar]

Here is the mom to be and her pictionary drawing
Can you guess what it is?
... "stretchmarks"

 The favors-
Cracker jacks covered with a personalized sticker label

Invitations are here.
It was a lot of fun.

And who knew there are so many things out there that go well with the POP theme.
We could have incorporated a lot more items... otter pops, ring pops, popcorn balls, popsicles, etc.

New hats added to the shop

Love these two colors together- blue and yellow.
They come in a set of 8 here.
(you can change up the "Moose & Zee" tags- even though I know you want them- haha)

Yellow, orange, and pink HATS!

We were up to our heads in hats last week. I helped a customer throw her parents a huge 60th birthday bash and made 300 hats for her guests. Every hat had a flag inserted on top with each guests name.

The colors were great. Along with the yellow, orange and hot pink, there was aqua blue dinnerware. Amazing!
