I'm baaaack

Did you miss me?
(for the few people that read this) haha

While away, I ...
... had a wonderful holiday break
... moved into our brand new home
... hosted friends and family
... now opened the shop back open
and missed the internet for about a month... and it was wonderful.

I hope all of you had a great holiday season

Now, bring on the parties!!!!

During the break a close friend of mine threw her one year old son, Shailym, a birthday bash. It was all about owls, the colors lime green, teal, bright orange and brown, and all things natural and woodsy. I helped her out with a few things but she had the creativity for it all.

It was darling. My favorite part was the re-used baby food jars made into favors: candy for the kids and plant starters for the adults.

The best part about living in Hawaii is you can have parties outdoors all year long!!

I loved how the owl cupcakes turned out
I wish I had one of those yummy owl cupcakes right now!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAILYM

Pretty Paper Airlplane Party

Pretty colors, simple decor, and a tower made of powdered donuts make this party one of my favorites.
It's hard to find (in my book) a fun boy themed party that can incorporate boys and girls too, but this one does it. Head over to Buggie and Jellybean for more details.

Harvest Party

I spotted this Fall Harvest/Thanksgiving party a few days ago.
I love everything about it. It has a rustic, natural, wood-sy feel... just as Fall should feel like.

Yellow, orange, and pink HATS!

We were up to our heads in hats last week. I helped a customer throw her parents a huge 60th birthday bash and made 300 hats for her guests. Every hat had a flag inserted on top with each guests name.

The colors were great. Along with the yellow, orange and hot pink, there was aqua blue dinnerware. Amazing!

Goldfish Party: Part I

I started working on my daughters goldfish cracker themed birthday party this past week.
I'm getting really excited about it- probably more than she is since she's only 2.

Here are some hats, cupcake toppers and invitations I came up with.
We paired the invitations with a small bag of goldfish crackers.

Goldfish party ideas

My daughter turns 2 next month and since I'll be having a baby the end of this month I decided it was time to get the wheels turning and start up on everything. My plan is to have at least all the designs and ideas finished before the baby arrives. That way all I have to do is put it together and do some last minute buys in the end of July.

The theme for her party is none other than her favorite snack.... GOLDFISH! (crackers, that is). So the colors are goldfish orange and aqua blue.

Here are just some ideas and inspiration I have floating around:

These cupcake liners alone have plenty of inspiration
