Spring on my mind
I'm getting really pumped for spring and summer to be here... more bbq-ing outside, roasting s'mores with our fire pit, and just being outside more in general.
I have a few projects in mind- revamping our garden, making tables out of broken granite pieces, planting grass and flowers, etc.

Cotton Candy Lemonade
I saw this on the Today Show (with Kathy Lee and Hoda) this morning and loved it!
Basically, you put a handful of cotton candy in a glass and add unsweetened lemonade to it. YUM!
I tried looking it up but didn't have much success... errrr ran out of time....
But here is Sweet Paul Magazine's edition.

4th of July
Happy 4th of July weekend to you!
-In case you need some last minute decorations for your picnic, head over to The Sweetest Occasion for free ones!
-Aren't these the neatest fruit pops you've ever seen?!
-And because it is now illegal to light fireworks here in Hawaii, we'll have to make some of these paper sparklers (especially for the toddler).
{please light off some fireworks for me}

DIY 4th of July decor
If you haven't already seen Lisa Storms' craft ideas for celebrating the 4th of July, then you must.
It's amazing what you can create with some paper and paper punches.

Hot dogs
I love hot dogs. Any kind, and especially loaded with lots of toppings.
Have you ever tried shredded potato chips and raisins
(along with the regular toppings)??
It's the perfect salty-sweet combo and is surprisingly good.
(I had them from a lunch wagon in Brazil, too many times)
I think our 4th of July celebration will be something like this:

Ribbon Lanterns
With summer here and outdoor dinners in store, these ribbon lanterns would be great decor and lighting.

Goldfish Party: Part II
I can't believe the day has arrived.
My little girl turns two tomorrow.
The party will be on the weekend so we're just
about finished with all prep work.

Birthday Banner
Water bottle labels
while preparing the labels I found some great
waterproof/tear resistant paper online
(if you find a cheaper source, let me know- I was in a hurry to buy so I didn't take the time to find a better price)
because here in Hawaii everything collects condensation when
you leave it outside for more than 1 minute.
The bubble labels are made of the same paper as well.

Goldfish party ideas
My daughter turns 2 next month and since I'll be having a baby the end of this month I decided it was time to get the wheels turning and start up on everything. My plan is to have at least all the designs and ideas finished before the baby arrives. That way all I have to do is put it together and do some last minute buys in the end of July.
The theme for her party is none other than her favorite snack.... GOLDFISH! (crackers, that is). So the colors are goldfish orange and aqua blue.
Here are just some ideas and inspiration I have floating around:
These cupcake liners alone have plenty of inspiration
(I got the orange ones)
