The birthday party without a theme

My niece celebrated her birthday with us so we, or course, had to have a party.
She likes pink, Rapunzel, candy, and gumballs. So I guess that was our theme.

Some favor bags

Pin the hair on Rapunzel

Strawberry cream sandwiched cupcakes

We had some friends over for dinner this week and they brought, for dessert, the yummiest cupcakes I've ever eaten.

They came out not too sweet and very light and fluffy.

You basically bake your choice of cupcake, split the tops off when done baking, peel off the wrapper and stuff a whipped cream/berry mixture between the two cupcake pieces. YUM!

And a very extra YUM when eaten with ice cream.
(don't forget the powdered sugar on top. it makes a big difference. in a good way)

She said she got the recipe here.

How to: Make heartshaped flower petal cupcake toppers

I'm not sure where I learned this, so I don't know who to give credit to.

Its really quite simple
If you have never made them before, here's how:

You'll need:
-card stock
-lollipops
-hole puncher
-scissors
-cupcakes
-tape

*Take colored card stock paper and cut out 3 hearts about 1-2 inches in diameter.
*Next, punch a small hole at the base of all 3 hearts.
*Place your lollipop through the 3 holes in the hearts, arrange like a flower, and tape in place underneath.
*Place on cupcake.
*Eat or give away.
             *I'd eat.

How I'd do my own birthday

Which isn't until April, but it doesn't hurt to prepare and gather ideas right?

I love this festive party where Olivia from A Field Journal made for her 21st birthday.

Sip and See Celebration

Remember these cotton candy cupcakes?
I love what LittleHousehold has done with their cake and martini glasses as they threw a Sip and See party!!
A "Sip and See" party is something new to me, probably because I'm not from the South. It's a time for friends and family to welcome and see the new born baby. And a great reason to have a party!

Yellow, orange, and pink HATS!

We were up to our heads in hats last week. I helped a customer throw her parents a huge 60th birthday bash and made 300 hats for her guests. Every hat had a flag inserted on top with each guests name.

The colors were great. Along with the yellow, orange and hot pink, there was aqua blue dinnerware. Amazing!

Posh Poodle Party

I worked with an awesome customer, Kristyn, a few months ago, to help create a very posh party for her daughters 5th birthday (if you remember this post).
The theme consisted of poodles, the Eiffel tower, pink and black, frilly-girly things and all very POSH.
Lets just say, Ooh-la-la!
She did a wonderful job at putting it all together.
Here are a few photos she sent our way.

{love that cake!}

Thanks Kristyn!

Posh Poodle Party

This is what I've been up to this past week. A customer wanted to create a pink, black, white, posh, poodle party for her 5 year old girl.

We came up with these things: water bottle labels, hats, a banner, door signs, invitations, thank you cards, chocolate favor wrappers, favor bag tags, cupcake toppers, cake topper, confetti, birthday girl crown, stickers, napkin rings, and name cards.

It all came out adorable!

Pretty Pink Dessert Table

I'm loving this pretty pink dessert table by Jenna at Eat Drink Pretty.
It has made me appreciate the color pink better.
(I used to be not a very big fan)
You gotta check out more photos
